Boxycharm March 2018 Review

20180321_161714

Boxycharm is a monthly subscription box that delivers 5 FULL SIZE items per month. The boxes consist of mostly full size cosmetic items. I have received non-cosmetic items that were nice to try and receive as well such as; makeup brushes, shampoo, conditioner, and sheet masks…. but again, it is mostly makeup. My experience with Boxycharm has been a very pleasant experience. In my opinion it has been a very affordable way for me to build up my makeup collection with some very high quality products for a very low price. I have also received some high quality makeup brushes and built up my stash on those as well. I will show you the breakdown of everything I got this month for only $21. In all honesty, makeup does get old and has to be replaced, so I don’t feel that I will ever have too much makeup with this subscription. I love being able to try these items and if I don’t like it I don’t think it’s a big deal because of the huge discount I received it for. Even though I may not always love every item in my box, I always LOVE this subscription. For me, it has been the best way to sample makeup. PUR The Complexion Authority Eyeshadow Palette: MSRP $36 This product claims to have silky smooth mattes, and shimmer shades that can be layered for a duo chrome finish. The shades in this palette are so pretty, especially the pinks and corals for spring. As you could tell from this picture (I am so impatient) I swatched this palette. So far the shadows feel great, are pigmented, and gorgeous. Keep an eye out, this one will get a full review.

The Vintage Cosmetic Company Smokey Eye Makeup Brush Set: MSRP $23 Again, I am so impatient. The color you see on these brushes is because I couldn’t wait to see how the eyeshadows applied on the eyes, and I really wanted to try new brushes. Can you tell I love this subscription box? Let me know if you want me to review these brushes.

Bellapierre Cosmetics Volumizing Mascsra: MSRP $20 I have heard so many mixed reviews on this brand, many people saying they don’t like it. I am drawn to products like that and can’t wait to see how it works for me. I have a couple mascaras open right now, so this one will get put away until I am ready to try it.

Pretty Vulgar Make Them Blush: MSRP $26 This product claims to be a silky smooth, long wearing formula. It says it is buildable, and good for all complexions. I can tell you now, looks are deceiving. This color can be put on light and looks so pretty on a fair complexion. It can also be built up. I think this blush would work for any and everybody. The packaging is cute. I look forward to testing out the long wear claim. Let me know if you want me to review this.

South Mane Beauty Under Eye Gels: MSRP $10 This product claims their mask is great for easy clean up. They are said to soften, moisturize and ensure you look rested and refreshed. I look forward to testing that claim out, and if they are great, the price is too.

Overall: The retail value of this box was $115 and I only paid $21. I got some very practical, and what seems to be great quality items to try. I am very happy with this box.

  1. I’ve been using the pur palette most of the week and I would give it a 3/5. It’s not bad but it’s also not the best for longevity. It creases by the end of the day and some of the shades go on patchy. It does swatch amazing but some of the shades also blend away to almost nothing.

I loved the overall box though I got the other shade of blush and the butter London mascara. The brushes were amazing too!

  2. I’m kind of ify on the palette. After using one shade on my lid, when I tried to blend it with a brush it blended away. Everything else is great though!
