Beautyfix April 2017 Review

Beautyfix is a monthly subscription box that costs $24.95 per month. You are guaranteed to get at least six products, full size, travel size, deluxe or sample size with a total value of $100 plus dollars each month. This is a review for the March 2017 Beautyfix box sold by Dermstore. I am not affiliated with Dermstore in any way. I paid for this box with my own money and the following is my honest review based on my purchase.

Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift .2oz Sample:  This sample has a retail value of $15.29 for .2oz.  The full size is .85oz and retails for $65.  This product claims to diminish the appearance of dark circles and puffiness. This is a cooling cream gel that delivers hyaluronic acid and essential oils for plumping and nourishing the delicate skin around the eyes. I look forward to trying this product. I have not tried nor swatched as I did not want to waste any product, but I will update when the sample is gone and I really have a chance to determine how I like it. Dermalogica is known to make some really great skincare products and I look forward to sampling this.

Alterna CC Cream 10-In-1 Complete Correction Leave-In Hair Perfector .85oz Deluxe Sample:  This sample is almost full size. The .85oz has a retail value of about $10.  The full size is 1oz and retails for $12.  This product claims to repair the hair while styling. This product contains marine caviar and antioxidant-rich botanicals and claims to increase shine, smoothness, strength, and manageability. Again I will update when I really get to sample the product long enough to know how I feel about it, but very much look forward to this one as well.

100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Pomegranate Oil Anti-Aging Lipstick Full Size:  This lipstick retails for $29 and comes in four different shades.  Red is not a color I wear often, but I am grateful for the full size item, I am wearing it now 🙂 This formula is AMAZING!!! It is super moisturizing and is made with incredible ingredients. I could not believe how beautifully pigmented this product is. When first applied it is a little slippery, and you could smudge easy if not careful, but this product will dry down….. I think it dries down and or stains?  I haven’t completley figured this product out, but I am so happy to have tried this product! Did I mention how beautiful the packaging is too?

Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Face Gels Full Size:  This is a transdermal pad infused with peptides to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. These pads are made to be placed on the smile lines. I am all about masks, skincare, and anti-aging products and will be trying this out tonight.  One of these masks retails for $17.50

Veneffect Anti-Aging Lip Treatment .10oz Sample:  I have always wanted to try something from this brand, it is crazy expensive. So, this .1oz sample has a value of $25. What!!!! For a lip treatment?  The full size is 0.34oz and retails for $85…… Um…. Need I say anymore? Happy I got to try a sample because this price for a lip treatment will never be in my budget. The product felt really nice but had a strange taste.

Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Moisturizer Full Size:  This product retails for $48. As you can see by the picture this is a very thick facial cream….. However, a tiny bit thinned out on my face and absorbed so quickly.  Not the result I expected to get with a product so thick, but wow!! I really enjoyed it so far. This product is formulated with CoQ10 and peptides and is said to reduce free radical damage and continuously brighten skin.  I have been dying to try something from this brand as I am becoming more ingredient conscious. I am so happy to receive a full size organic skincare product that feels luxurious and am hopeful this will deliver some great results. It is felt comfortable moisturizing.

Honest Beauty Magic Balm Full Size:  Another full size item from another brand I have been hoping to try, this product retails for $18.  This balm is enriched with shea butter, jojoba and olive oil and is one of those all in one products.  It can be used for natural nourishing highlight on the cheek bone, lip gloss, cuticle, hair, nails, or as the packaging says, everywhere.  I am not sure how I plan to use this product but I look forward to trying it out.

Luzern Laboratories Urban Protect Daily Moisturizer Sample Size:  This sample is .33oz and has a value of $8.34.  The full size is 1.7oz and retails for $43.  This product is a moisturizer that claims to lift pollutants off the surface of the skin and is supposed to give your skin a more even tone and a luminous complexion.

Luzern Laboratories Urban Protect Detox Masque Sample Size:  I couldn’t find this product online to price it, but it is a face mask to detox your skin from pollutants.

Final Thoughts:  This box has a value of around $180.  It is beautifully curated with a variety of very luxurious products with really great ingredients. I’m very happy with this box and the new to me products and brands I get to try.
