Battle of the Foundations Wet n Wild Photo Focus VS. Hourglass Seamless Finish Foundation Stick

Wet N Wild Photo Focus Foundation: This foundation is currently on sale at Amazon for $4.68. I know many of you who are prime members enjoy the free two day shipping, so this product is available here. I have been wearing this foundation to test it out everyday for the last two weeks. The foundation is not thick like a cream, but it isn’t watery either. The consistency is in the middle of those and I found it to be great. On initial application I would say this gave me medium coverage, but, I was able to build it to a full coverage for my skin. I have dry skin and some redness. This worked at covering my redness. I thought it had a very beautiful finish. My makeup piled beautifully on top of it. The final test was at the end of the day…… My face still looked great at the end of everyday. I didn’t believe they hype on this very affordable foundation, but I must say, it has quickly become one of my favorites. Just an FYI, I do use a setting spray everyday, so I don’t know if that played a role, but this foundation is worth trying….. and again it’s on Amazon.

Hourglass Seamless Finish Foundation Stick: This foundation can be purchased at Sephora for $46. The packaging on this product is beautiful, however, your fingerprints do get left on it….. that is typical of hourglass’ packaging. Hourglass makes great products, there are so many from this brand I have tried and love. The foundation stick is different and I was hesitant. You can just swipe on your cheeks and forehead and then use a brush to blend. I was amazed at how well this blended, it honestly did blend out like a dream. Again, this foundation also provided a medium coverage that could easily be built up. And seamless finish?? I would agree, it finished my face flawlessly and looked amazing on the face. My other makeup looked gorgeous on top of it. Wear time…. here is my gripe, I have tried priming my face, not priming my face, setting, not setting, etc. No matter what I tried, and I tried hard because it looks so pretty….. But, at the end of an eight hour shift at work it’s a mess. I have never had a foundation break up on my face…. This one did.

And The Winner Is: Wet n Wild Photo Focus for providing great coverage for an affordable price, and coverage that lasts.

Have you tried either of these? Did they work for you? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I’ll have to check out Wet N Wild! It kills me so much to spend $40+ on foundation when my skin tone is always changing, getting tanner and paler!
