Tarteist Pro Glow Highlight and Contour Palette $45: I am a huge fan of Tarte products and I just needed more highlighters? First impression; The colors are stunning but it feels dry. I hope I am not disappointed by this brand for the first time. Full review to come after I have had a good length of time to test it out.
Tartelette in Bloom Clay Eyeshadow Palette $46: Again, I love Tarte products. Their eyeshadow quality is very consistent. First impression: quality seems great. Swatches beautifully. Full review to come.
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in the Shade Fig $26: I love Bite Beauty lip products. The shades are gorgeous. What I love the most is how natural these lipsticks are. They are very moisturizing, they have a citrus scent/taste to them, the scent and taste is very light but if you are sensitive to scent you may not like these. My husband hates to kiss me when I have lipstick on, but he loves these lol! Enough of that…. This is absolutely my number one go to lipstick brand. I will do a full post on this lipstick and get more in depth about Bite Beauty and what draws me to them.
Bite Beauty Prismatic Pearl Creme in the Shade Oyster Pearl $22: I have been looking at these for a while. There is a ton of fine glitter in them so if you don’t like that you won’t like these. I think it is so pretty. First impression; applies evenly, has that signature Bite Beauty scent and taste. It doesn’t feel gritty on the lips and looks super pretty. When wiping it off the glitter was hard to get off. That is not a deal breaker for me. Full review to come.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the Shade Lovesick $20: I have been looking at these for a while, and they have mixed reviews. I fell in love with the shade ‘Lovesick’ and decided to give it a go. First impression; beautiful shade, applies evenly and easily, does dry down as it is supposed to. I did not find it to be overly drying for a matte, but will get a better idea with continued use. I also look forward to testing the wear time. Full review to come.

I love their lipsticks!!! They sell a two pack of minis for $15. The samples are small but it is a great way to try them.

Thanks for letting me know. I will check Sephora website to have a look. They don’t have a store here in Brisbane unfortunately.

Thanks for taking the time to comment!! I did a review on one of their smaller palettes, they are more affordable and it’s a great way to try the quality of the eyeshadow. Please do! We do not have a Sephora in South Africa and they don’t ship to us either 😭😭😭 Its SO expensive so get hold of international makeup brands. I honestly want so many tarte goodies and when they had the friends and family sale I had a cart full of stuff 😂😂😂 It makes me feel a little better to just add things to my cart I wish I could have 😂

What stores do you have in South Africa for makeup?

It’s mostly clothing stores that has cosmetic sections. Kinda like Target. We do have stand alone stores as well but only Mac, Bobbi Brown, Tom Ford, Estee Lauder, Clinique and a few others. The rest is all counters within a bigger store. Drugstore brands are Essence, LA Girl, Physicians Formula, Beauty Treats, Catrice, Revlon, Almay, Wet N Wild, Loreal, Maybelline, Bourjours, NYX. Then we’ve got Elizabeth Arden, Smashbox, Urban Decay (launched last year), Dior, and thats about it 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Then we’ve got a few third party sellers for international brands but its so expensive. Like 3 times the price because of shipping, customs, tax plus the online store needs to make a profit as well. For example you’d pay $20 for tarte lipstick and we’d pay about $45

Omg! That’s ridiculous. You do have some great brands available to you but I totally get the frustration, I’d be upset too.

The lip products in this post are just stunning. I’ve unfortunately never tried any BITE products, but I can’t wait to get my hands on them. Anxiously awaiting the full review of the Tartelette palette!
